It’s great fun when you recognize a familiar street or institution depicted on your favourite TV show; the shared location represents a deeper affiliation with the programme and at least momentarily, provides you bragging rights.
Location shooting has prompted many fans to pack into a motor and roadtrip to places depicted on screen, either as a pilgrimage or in the hopes of meeting their small screen idols. There is an undeniable sense of adventure to walking the same ground as your TV hero, collecting a few pebbles as keepsakes, maybe reciting some lines from the show …ah, who are we kidding. You go because so you can post a boatload of selfies on FaceBook.
We’ve rounded up 5 of the most used locales that are open to the public….
